Inspired by the ambient atmosphere of summer desert nights, this Spanish Revival home beautifully captures the warmth, charm, and communal spirit of traditional Spanish architecture. It harmonizes with the outdoors by embracing an open-concept layout for the main living areas, where the distinction between indoor and outdoor spaces fades away. Each corner exudes hospitality and comfort, inviting guests to unwind and connect. We opted for a blend of modular seating, custom statement pieces, and unique client accents. These elements come together to infuse personality into the space, crafting inviting areas ideal for both socializing and relaxation.

The Santo House

Residential

Elevating the ordinary aspects of household chores with innovative design concepts that refine the functional experience of this space.

The pantry and laundry zone were transformed into workable spaces with tailored white oak cabinets. Our clients requested no white walls and we were so excited to bring in earthy materials to give the spaces an elevated European feel. We covered every surface with either plaster, concrete or millwork. The pantry gives off industrious minimalism with the mix of custom black granite countertops paired with steel shelves and integrated LEDs, striking a perfect balance between style and practicality.

In the laundry room, we had custom natural concrete countertops fabricated with an integrated sink for a seamless look. A floor-to-ceiling steel wall panel added a contemporary touch, while a custom white oak peg wall, accented with minimal sconces, creates a captivating mood.

Nestled in the mountains of Paradise Valley, our Joshua Tree Project stands as a testament to exquisite craftsmanship. This 8,196 square feet spec build was designed for a developer, Temac Development alongside Mark Candelaria as the architect. From the foundation to the finishing touches, we spared no detail in designing this home – a blend of organic elements from the surrounding landscape, seamlessly integrated with clean lines and natural textures. The soft, muted desert tones that permeate the space enhance its ambiance, providing a level of comfort that is unmatched.

Welcome to our Lafayette Boulevard Project, a restoration of a mid-century modern ranch home from 1962. This residence serves as a living testament to ageless architecture and design. Our journey with this home began when the Developer brought us onto the project to discover the home’s potential and bring it up to modern-day living.

Many original finishes and lighting elements, with their inherent character and charm, were thoughtfully kept. We strived not only to preserve its historical significance but also to introduce contemporary elements that complement and elevate the overall experience. The home has a unique floor plan where each guest bedroom has a sliding door entryway and an ensuite bathroom. The stacked stone runs from the exterior into the interior spaces, as if Camelback Mountain comes right through the home. The natural light floods this home through many clerestories and floor-to-ceiling windows. We even kept the plaque on the guest house with the original owner’s name, William Wall.

This is a special project because this also happens to be Kaitlyn’s home, our Owner + Principal Designer of Iconic by Kaitlyn Wolfe. Postmodern design often is characterized by irregular forms, shapes, colors, and unique designs. Modern design consists of neutral colors, clean design lines and environmentally-friendly materials. Desert modern style refers to California boho eclectic decor, a lot of mix and matching different patterns, mud-cloth pillows, rugs, in different layers.

This home was built in 1993, just down the street from Taliesin West, the home of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright from 1937 until 1959. Our favorite elements are the slat wall in the kitchen nook, shou sugi ban on the ceiling in the dining room and steel wall in the primary bedroom.

When trying to name this project, the word “sculptural” kept coming to mind because so many of the design elements were soft and curvy, yet brutalist and geometric. Complimented by neutral, warm desert textures – we fittingly chose the name Sculptural Desert Project.

One of the most important requests from our clients was to add a wet bar to their lounge so they could truly entertain, as well as have a separate “chill” space from their kids who may be in the main living room. This bar has to be one of the most iconic bars we have ever designed. Another one of my favorite aspects of this room is the custom floor lamp with the terrazzo base that we designed specifically to fit the space – a Syfte Collective piece.

Our Desert Chalet Project was a spec build designed for a developer, Arcadia Fortress. We were inspired by the matte black A-Frame roof line, which reminded us of a cabin, hence ‘chalet’. For this reason, we selected light natural wood finishes throughout the home, on the floors, walls and ceilings and many soft, textural and organic finishes. We put a unique spin on it with a nod to some Art Deco and mid-century vibes with geometric shapes and lighting, such as the screenprinted tile from Portugal at the bar. Throughout the home, you will find a ceiling-suspended vapor fireplace in the primary bedroom, ceramic lighting, custom millwork, asymmetry and a play on contrast. A black and white agglomerate marble is the show piece in the great room along the base of the fireplace. Kaitlyn staged this home with many curated vintage pieces from her travels, including the classic De Sede ‘Snake’ sectional in the great room. We can’t wait to see who buys this home.

In this residential remodel project, the focus was directed towards the casita and laundry room, where the goal was to infuse Spanish influence while maintaining a strong minimalist aesthetic. Starting with the casita, the renovation aimed to enhance its original charm while introducing contemporary elements. The color palette revolved around earthy tones, such as terracotta, warm beige, soft whites and pops of black which are synonymous with Spanish architecture. The bedroom walls were adorned with textured plaster finishes, adding depth and creating a visually captivating backdrop. The casita’s interior was thoughtfully organized to maximize functionality while maintaining a minimalistic appeal.

Moving on to the laundry room, the same design principles were applied, ensuring a seamless flow from the casita. The laundry room’s layout was optimized for functionality while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic. We love the European Oak cabinetry and custom built-in dog bowls with a pot filler. The focus remained on simplicity, with an emphasis on efficient storage solutions for laundry essentials.

As you enter the home, you are greeted by a living space that exudes sophistication and warmth. The exposed wood beams soar across the ceiling, serving as a stunning architectural feature that sets the stage for the entire design. The blend of soft textures and the warmth of the wood ceiling creates an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. By embracing natural textures, organic elements, and skillfully playing off the exposed wood, this home has been elevated to a realm of boutique hotel-inspired elegance. It’s a sanctuary where luxury and nature intertwine, creating a harmonious haven. Soft, natural light filters through the large windows, casting a warm glow upon the furnishings and décor. This home consisted of a remodel in all of the main spaces and guest suites, where we aimed to give focus to the original architectural elements that make this home so special.

By integrating these textures and materials, the home replicates the allure of the mountains and rocks but also fosters a harmonious ambiance within the space. The color palette takes hues from the natural environment, with earthy tones, rich browns, warm beiges and shades of gray mimic the colors found in the mountains.

We completely redesigned the clients kitchen, beverage room, butler’s pantry, laundry and powder bath. Our team carried out the full design and construction on this project. This project was all about creating a serene and warm space integrated with the surroundings of the desert, giving the project name Livable Desert. We pulled inspiration from the exterior by using earthy tones and various textures. This was our client’s first family home so they wanted something they can grow into throughout the years. We used different types of durable materials such as white oak and quartzite stone and played around with organic shapes to promote a playful environment such as color blocking in the nursery and painting a mural in the son’s bedroom.

Family is very important to our clients and we wanted to make sure we designed each room according to their needs and wants. The wife requested a dark office for her line of work so we integrated LEDs into the custom built-ins adding a more moody effect. We elevated this tract home by incorporating stone accents and custom lighting creating an elevated hospitality feel.

We were instantly drawn to this project by the existing flooring of Saltillo and natural light found throughout the home. In each space you can find sage tones and saltillo tile as a common denominator giving the project its name #SageandSaltillo. We designed this home with a fun take on desert tones with clean lines and took inspiration from the angular rock formations found in the desert.

In the kitchen, you can find the lower cabinets painted in a rich California sagebush and a custom terrazzo countertop and full-height backsplash. We integrated dimmable LEDs into the upper cabinets and floating shelves for a calming vibe. The guest bath features a custom alder wood door frame, travertine slabbed shower walls and a porcelain mosaic shower floor. The primary bath is covered in a green calacatta marble which plays off of the cactus shown in the atrium visible from the shower. We added more texture into the primary with a custom tadelakt wall plaster around the tub and shower walls. We love the incorporation of matte white plumbing fixtures, as it gives it a modern and graphic feel. We also brought in custom details to the laundry room, breakfast nook, entryway and dining. Once you take a look at the main hallways, you’ll understand why House of Arches was fitting for the name. This project was a full home remodel and interior design with views of Camelback Mountain from every angle. When we first saw this 6,300sf home, we could see potential everywhere – from the cantera stone, to the interior doors and the living room ceiling. We wanted to keep the original intention of the architecture but incorporate new materials and furnishings to bring the home back to life. The before and after photos will leave you absolutely speechless with the transformation from an outdated Tuscan home to a one-of-a-kind modern design.

Our clients were very open when it came to the aesthetic vision which allowed us to get super creative and bring in unexpected materials and shapes. Our clients love clean and minimal spaces, so we brought in a ton of texture to create layering. One of the standout materials is the viola marble, which is a focal element in the Primary Bath and Dining Nook. We also incorporated white oak fluted cabinetry, an agglomerate marble in the kitchen and LEDs around every corner. Our clients are so happy with their home and they can’t wait to spend time with family and entertain.

Our creativity was really let loose with this project. We were tasked to transform a nursery, playroom and master bedroom. Our clients came to us wanting something unique and elevated. The architecture of their home is an Arcadia craftsman style, but they wanted to go much more bold and modern.

Our incorporation of natural materials and neutral color palettes ensure that it doesn’t feel out of place. We brought in a muralist to paint a custom design in the nursery, color blocking in the playroom and plaster walls in the master bedroom. We also focused on our lighting placement and fixture selections to elevate the spaces. We brought in a lot of black for a high-end feel, which is then balanced by a ton of texture, for a more relaxed feel . One of our favorite details is the custom walnut busy board we designed for the playroom.

The Monochrome Home project is an elevated and monochromatic design that primarily features white, black and grey tones, balanced with ash wood tones and surprising pops of deep muted color tones in the furniture. Accompanied with a variety of textures and sculptural lighting, the overall design is softened and has a calming feel in every space. We remodeled this home from top to bottom, incorporating more minimal and impactful details – less is more with this design. We brought a focus on creative storage solutions, LED lighting and concrete elements. From the plaster treatment on the fireplace to the LEDs hidden behind the bath tub and shower niche, the attention to detail are what make this project. We covered all of the walls in the powder bath in stone, creating an elevated hospitality feel.

Our dedication to this project evolved around modernizing a captivating 1950s redbrick residence nestled in the heart of Central Phoenix. We carefully selected new millwork, all new hard surfaces and fixtures that would highlight the home’s potential. We staged the home with furniture to elevate the home’s original charm, seamlessly blending warm colors that complimented the distinctive Saltillo tile floors. The interior is surrounded in natural light, adding hospitable ambiance. The new design is the perfect balance of neutral hues, clean lines, and a touch of eclecticism. The standout design feature is the custom mural handpainted by our team in the dining nook, which makes this project memorable.

You can really see the impact of the design when you scroll down to the pre-renovation photos. This home started out looking like every home on the block. We designed a fully custom kitchen, living room and dining nook. The kitchen has custom white oak and matte black cabinetry, with stone that wraps the backsplash and floating shelf. The standout design element in this space are the LEDs, giving it an extra edge. We also transformed the fireplace/entertainment wall with the concrete hearth, linear fireplace, rift oak millwork with integrated lighting and a large format porcelain tile with a terrazzo pattern for the popout.

With the new design, we took advantage of the ceiling height and now your eye is expanded into the room. We completed the space with soft shapes and textures in the furnishings and decor. Between the living and dining room, we created a modern space for the kids to craft and play. The main components in the dining nook design are the custom terrazzo and oak round dining table as well as the burl sideboards. We layered decor and art on the console tables, anchored the room with black leather chairs and kept the space airy with a white, hand spun pendant light.

We instantly connected with these clients because of their love for mid-century modern design and for their collections of vintage pieces and artwork. We loved collaborating with them to create a really inspirational and functional home. Our clients bought this home after it had been re-built from the ground up. Our clients (and us) fell in love with the views and how immersed it was in the desert.

Given that the home itself had contemporary hard surfaces, we brought in more sculptural and warm lighting fixtures and furniture to give the home the cozy feeling it was missing. We were so inspired by the surrounding desert with the color palette and textures that we incorporated into the interior. We love how many vintage pieces were used in this design as well as the concrete-looking wall that we added in the primary bedroom.

The Good Life Project was a residential full gut remodel of a mid-century modern condo in Old Town Scottsdale. The condo was less than 900 square feet, so our goal was to maximize every space and use intentional design details to create the illusion of a larger space. We did this by reconfiguring bulky closets and adding custom cabinetry and LED lighting. One of the most important requests from our client was to make the layout very open, “the less the better” they said. Another request was to make sure they had plenty of storage allowing them to live in a clutter-free environment. This included a full renovation, interior + exterior furnishings, and styling where we really focused on a minimal design incorporating natural materials, soft lighting, custom millwork and furnishings.

Welcome to The Good Life Project II! Our clients rehired us after completing their first unit and were excited to transform their condo with clean lines, simple forms, and organic shapes. We focused on a more muted color palette, with earth tones and natural materials such as wood and stone used throughout. We featured an open floor plan with a strong emphasis on natural light creating a sense of balance and harmony throughout the space. The furniture is sleek and uncluttered, with a focus on comfort and practicality.

The bathroom has one tile selection in the entire space, yet it feels calm and interesting. The second bedroom serves as a home office with plenty of storage and a built-in murphy bed for additional sleeping. The condo was less than 900 square feet, so overall we went with fewer pieces to make a bigger impact on the space.

Once you take a look at the interiors of the garage, you’ll understand why Play on Pine was the name we chose for this project. The interior consists of floor to ceiling pine plywood sheets playing off the dark exterior. For the exterior color, we landed on this bold matte black to give the architecture more of a nordic feel. To create a modern and seamless look, we sourced matte black garage doors. To brighten up the space we added LED light fixtures, a large window, and metallic epoxy for the floors. The landscaping became more desert and minimal, with a combination of decomposed granite, steel trim and linear cacti.

We also transformed their patio by creating more livable space. We added a see-thru gas fireplace viewable from the patio and inside the casita. We designed this patio for the family to spend time cozying up or entertaining. We extended the patio by adding metal structural beams, this allowed us to create a nice outdoor dining area to enjoy the amazing Arizona nights.

Our Simple and Soothing Project was smaller in scope consisting of a primary and kids’ bath. The primary bath features a floating concrete vanity with an integral sink and drawers below for storage. We designed this custom concrete countertop and wrapped the walls around the vanity in wood. Under the floating shelf are integrated low LED lights for some additional warmth giving it a more boutique hotel feel.

The kids’ bath displays a porcelain mosaic backsplash from the floor to ceiling creating a seamless look. We continued mixing materials and added custom steel shelves and a dimensional porcelain wall tile in the shower. To create more contrast between the backsplash and countertop, we used a white quartz countertop and matte black plumbing fixtures.

We were hired to update this classic, ranch style mid-century modern home built in 1969. It had undergone previous remodels and additions, but the remodels were now dated and didn’t fit the original architectural intention of the home. Our goal for the project was to bring a new, modern design that focused on simplicity and functionality, that would bring the home back to its original intention.

We loved the existing materials such as the exposed slump block, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, skylights, fluted cabinet doors, mid-century glass block windows and the expansive views of the golf course and mountain range. We refinished some of the existing cabinetry with the fluted doors, as well as mixed in some new custom cabinetry to give the kitchen a whole new spirit. We filled this residential design with so many surprises – specifically with wall treatments and texture. This home already had great bones but it was a blank canvas that needed some personality and color. We focused on the colors of the Arizona desert – terracotta and lavenders and unique textures with plaster, wood, boucle, rattan and steel.

As soon as you walk into the home, you’re greeted with a funky entry storage space and a stone wall fireplace. This leads you into an inviting sitting room – perfect for reading a book or playing a board game. You’re then drawn into the colorblocking and light fixture of the dining room, making you want to explore more. The kitchen is refined and packed with natural lighting and counter space. The living room is the heart of the space with a ton of storage, met with a moody bar perfect for entertaining. We transformed a typical bedroom into an unforgettable home gym and office with the feeling of a spa and space to hide gym equipment. Our client loved bright colors and especially blue, so we gave this space a whole new spirit. I was inspired by the pastel colors of Artist’s Palette in Death Valley National Park. which drove the color scheme throughout this entire home.

We started with solving functionality, creating an open-concept layout to the living room and removing the soffit to maximize storage and swapping the placement of the range and the sink. The microwave and dishwasher are hidden on the front side of the island. We went with birch plywood cabinetry, giving this space a playful and industrial feel but the star of the show is the Ann Sacks backsplash and cylindrical hood. We based the color of the upper cabinetry on the hue of the backsplash, drawing your eye upward and outward, making the space feel larger. The mix of silhouettes of the pendant lights give this space a refined, yet quirky vibe.

Seeing Wander Salon come to life from beginning to end, was one of the best experiences! We had to completely re-work the floor plan, as the suite was previous a print shop. The salon is located inside of Barnone, which is a barn that has been converted into a retail space with many different local makers.

Due to the barn’s structure, the largest, most usable wall was curved. We designed these framed pop-outs for the styling stations, which allowed the cabinets to be recessed. One of the main design elements in the salon is the mappa burl cabinetry. The contrast with the polished concrete floors gives the space a vintage feel. We layered the space with some beige cabinetry, wallpaper and a slat wall. The slat wall completely hides the electrical panel. We chose a black and white terrazzo countertop for the mixing station and olive pleated shades over each styling station, giving the salon a French Modern feel. We sourced vintage artwork, accessories and furniture throughout.

The name Art Deco Project is truly fitting because the building was built in 1928 and restored in 1992. The building gave us so much inspiration for the design of this project with its exposed beams, French windows and Juliette balconies, light filled open living spaces with banks of windows and city views creating an unparalleled urban living environment.

We chose a polished concrete floor throughout and warmed it up with putty-colored and walnut slatted European cabinetry. The stone we chose for the countertop in the kitchen becomes an art piece as it flows up the backsplash on the main wall. The brass foot rail, arched millwork details, artisan crafted island light fixture and wainscot moulding in the master bedroom are a nod to the Art Deco time period. We brought the space to life with the innovative storage solutions, Scandinavian tile patterns in the bathroom as well as with the mix of vintage and new furniture and styling pieces. We started by demoing the wall that was enclosing the kitchen and reconfiguring the doorways into the garage and laundry room to make the kitchen larger. We continued their wood plank tile from their master bedroom into this space for cohesion. We chose white washed rift white oak cabinetry as our main material and designed a custom slat door into the laundry room. One of the standout features is this 24″x24″ grey porcelain tile we chose for the backsplash to the ceiling. We chose white quartz countertops and a drywall hood to balance these focal features. The lighting adds a layer of sophistication – from the linear LED over the island to the classic nordic light over the nook table. Scroll down for the pre-renovation photos!

Residential

We love diving into the vision and team behind the brands of our commercial clients. When we met with MindWire, a workforce analytics firm, we couldn’t wait to bring their company culture into their physical space. We designed their space to feel modern, forward-thinking, thoughtful and comfortable.

This home was designed with tons of rich and warm, dark desert tones, which creates a dramatic aesthetic in every room. The front living room features a floor to ceiling fireplace finished with a plaster technique and taupe-colored marble. The kitchen is bright and inviting with an asymmetrical entertaining island sits in the middle with a terrazzo-patterned quartz countertop and plaster hood. The powder bath features a radius floating cabinet, custom mural (hand drawn by us) featuring the dominant colors throughout the home – nude, gray and black – as well as asymmetrical pendant lighting.

Another fun surprise with this project is that our client’s did not originally hire us to furnish any of the adjacent living rooms. With that being said, during our last week of the renovation, our client’s asked if there was anything we could do to elevate those rooms. Two days before the install, we sourced furnishings, art, rugs and decor locally. On the final reveal day, we fully set up these rooms and blended them with some of their existing furnishings and they were speechless!

Tone and Texture

Residential

Our biggest goal with this design build project was improving functionality. Prior to the renovation, half of the space in the kitchen was not being utilized.

One of the details that drove the design was the window locations – we worked with the existing windows and created an asymmetrical design with the upper cabinets and the floating shelves that created balance. We chose walnut cabinetry paired with a matte quartz that runs up the wall to the ceiling for a refined look. Our client’s love for geometric tiles inspired us to source this artisanal tile from Portugal, on the back of the island, which is highlighted with LED lighting. We integrated the hood into the cabinetry, creating a seamless look on the range wall. The kitchen was finished with styling pieces that bring warmth and texture inspired by the desert.

Why Worry

Residential

Designing this home for this fun family of four was an incredible experience! Their Scandinavian style spoke to us and their love for color pushed us out of our comfort zone. When they came to us, they were just finishing up a full remodel of the interior of their home.

They were having a hard time imagining how their Scandinavian style would connect with this home. We made conscious decisions with the light fixture selections and fully furnished and styled the home for them. They are lovers of color so we embraced this throughout each space. From the classic Eames bubble lamp in the dining room, to the graphic wallpaper in their daughter’s room, mustard king bed, and modern gallery wall in the formal living room, this design does not disappoint. We focused on incorporating clean and classic lines that will stand the test of time.

Colorful Scandi

Residential

This home was a labor of love. We teamed up with an investor, Bryan O’Conor of Arcadia Fortress, to transform this home in Arcadia. This home was torn down to the concrete slab and a new home, along with a master suite addition, was built.

What stands out in this home are the high ceilings, natural light, spacious split floor plan, and the choice of finishes. We chose a 24″x48″ porcelain tile which resembled concrete throughout the entire home for a cohesive, modern feel. To complement this, we incorporated natural wood and putty tones into the cabinetry, which gave the home a minimalistic feel. As you enter each space, you appreciate how the colors and textures are carried throughout the home, yet it feels forward-thinking and unique. Along with the clean lines, we chose lighting and tile selections that would really stand out within each space. We chose to accessorize with items that were either vintage or handmade, merging the desert vibe with the industrial finishes.

Desert Meets Industrial

Residential

We were instantly drawn to this home with the existing flooring combination of real copper pennies, amber-stained polished concrete and character-filled hardwood. Our goal was to marry the modern architecture with vintage textures.

We designed the bedroom with a round, plaster wall detail and minimal pendant lights over the night stands to create the focal point. The simplistic bed frame is anchored by the black marble open night stands. We incorporated geometric-shaped pillows for visual interest and an eclectic gallery wall including abstract art, vintage finds, concrete sculptures and our client’s sentimental copper pieces. This vibe is continued in the office with the same black marble desk top, black oak book shelf, rattan light fixture and eclectic decor. The entry cabinet is a crowd favorite with the reeded glass, which sets the tone for the home. We upgraded the bar area with a retro cane bar cabinet styled with a mid century modern lamp and boho decor.

Vintage Desert

Residential

When the Arizona Coyotes Hockey Operations approached us to design their office spaces, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity. They wanted something functional, sleek and on-brand. We started by having all of the walls painted white and having the concrete polished for an industrial feel.

Their operations team had specific requirements for work spaces. They needed a conference table to accommodate 22 people, as well as 4 individual desks, stat monitors, game monitors and a beverage/printer station. We designed a custom conference table which resembles a hockey rink. The branded wall graphic catches your eye as soon as you walk in. Adjacent to that, we designed a custom cabinet for a beverage refrigerator, office storage and hidden printer. The countertop is a custom terrazzo top with a black penny round backsplash to the ceiling. Integrated in the backsplash are custom steel shelves and concrete light fixtures. We added the linear LED lighting above the conference table for task lighting.

Our clients came to us with an outdated kitchen that had a ton of wasted space. We were able to double the size of their kitchen by bringing a previous addition up to code and allowing it to be real added square footage to their home.

Their love of blue inspired us in this color palette but we kept it light and airy with the countertop stone that runs up the wall as a backsplash and into a shelf. We designed this custom cabinetry with a slight edge door detail and chose modern tab pulls for a clean, European look. We engineered the LED channel into the stone shelf to allow for task lighting where there was no upper cabinetry. We incorporated fluted glass inserts on the bar cabinetry for a nod to retro. We love the movement in the countertops that look like an exposed aggregate, giving this industrial design some added warmth.

Industrial Modern

Residential

We were instantly drawn to the architecture of this building, an iconic mid-century modern condominium with exposed block, floor to ceiling windows and bright green front doors. A few of the standout design elements here are the terrazzo floors, sculptural wall of tile in the kitchen and the creative use of space in the bathroom. We love how this floor tile selection instantly draws you into the space, it feels sophisticated, yet playful.

Our favorite details are the focal wall tile in the kitchen, which we completely wrapped into the window. The terrazzo tile in the shower and the creative storage we designed from the shower to the vanity mirror. The asymmetrical light with a red perforated metal shade and globe to standout against the neutral tones. We finished the space off with undercabinet lighting underneath the floating cabinet.

Mid-Century Modern Condo

Residential

This may have been one of the most unique projects we’ve ever worked on. We were matched with a client who loves the desert just as much as we do. We were also incredibly inspired by the curvy architecture of this home that is carved into the side of a mountain. It had stunning bones with a great room that felt like a gallery, but it felt very dark and heavy. With the new design, we gave the home a new spirit and allowed it to breathe.

Our client’s bright and eclectic artwork became a prominent design element throughout each space, so we matched this personality with eye-catching finishes and shapes. We turned any “awkward” spaces into design opportunities. Starting with the kitchen, we created a focal point with this custom-designed island that stands out like a unique piece of furniture. We custom-designed night stands in the master bedroom to wrap around the existing walls and brought the detailed curves out with an applied plaster treatment. We love how the existing wood tones of the interior doors and cantera pillars feel modern and stand out in the completed design. We were so excited to design a home for our client’s and their grandkids to enjoy for years to come!

Curvy Home // Eclectic Desert

Residential

We couldn’t have been more excited when a repeat client of ours came to us letting us know they had found their forever home. The home’s contemporary and industrial architecture gave us an amazing blank canvas. Our client’s love a relaxed vibe – they’re avid travelers and yogis. We went with an organic desert style, incorporating Scandinavian lines and minimalist design details.

The use of texture and unique color palettes stand out in this project. We put a focus on specialty lighting, giving the home a relaxing feel. The art and decor is eclectic, yet simple. We incorporated plant life in every space which acts a pop of color on the white walls. We commission a few custom pieces by local artists, for example, the pastel Grand Canyon painting in the living room and the fiber art wall hanging in the master bedroom. We’re excited to have created this home for this young family to grow into for years.

Organic Desert

Residential

We teamed up with an investor to design a one-of-a-kind property. We created a very clear vision for this home – Scandinavian minimalism. Our intention for this home was to incorporate as many natural materials that we could.

We started by selecting polished concrete floors throughout the entire home. To balance this masculinity, we chose soft, natural wood grain cabinetry for the kitchen, bathrooms and mudroom. In the kitchen, we made the hood a focal point by wrapping it in marble and installing a herringbone tile to the ceiling. We accented the rooms with brass and polished chrome, giving the home a light and airy feeling. We incorporated organic textures and soft lines throughout. The bathrooms feature a dimensioned shower tile and leather towel hooks. We drew inspiration for the color palette and styling by our surroundings – the desert.

Minimal Scandinavian

Residential

We teamed up with a landscape designer to design an incredible outdoor space for a growing family. They had recently purchased the home and there was nothing but grass in the backyard. The design incorporated a pool with a spa, pergola, outdoor fireplace and kitchen, outdoor shower and covered patio.

We designed everything from the pavers, pool tile, layout, lighting to the furnishings/decor. One of our favorite details is the glass fence surrounding the pool. The pergola has a draped cover in Sunbrella fabric to withstand the elements. We created a super cozy space for a family to spend time or entertain. We layered neutrals and brought in texture with rattan, teak and concrete accents.

Arcadia Retreat

Residential

When tasked to design this guest house from the ground up, we were ready for the challenge. Our clients wanted something practical, unique, modern and earthy. We started by selecting different textures in the finishes to bring the warmth – walnut, concrete, terrazzo and brass were layered throughout.

We designed these custom terrazzo kitchen countertops by choosing the base color and the exposed aggregate throughout. We contrasted this textural surface with the alternating matte and glossy stacked subway tile in the kitchen. The retro lighting is apparent throughout the guest house. The bathroom features a floating concrete vanity with integral sink and shelf below for storage. For the office, we chose hardwood flooring, custom cabinetry and concrete countertops with a brass inlay in the waterfall. The backsplash is cork, therefore, functional and aesthetically pleasing. We think it’s a perfect embodiment of our signature warm modern aesthetic.

Textural Bohemian

Residential

The transformation of this home is sure to blow your mind. We chose a light and airy color palette, with Scandinavian lines. We kept this home simple to allow the mountain views to stand out in each space. This was our client’s very first home and we were honored that they approached us to give this home a new life.

We started by replacing all of the floors, painting the entire home, modifying the existing cabinetry and replacing all fixtures. The light oak wood flooring is actually a vinyl, making it child and dog proof! We went with a contrasting black island and oak floating shelves to break up the white cabinetry and backsplash. The backsplash is laid in a modern stack, yet the variation in color makes it look handmade. We incorporated different textures like marble, wood and steel, to give this home an earthy feel. We kept the interiors vibrant and youthful. The moody office became the perfect work-from-home space for our client.

The Modern Minimalist

Residential

This true mid-century modern home was ready to be revived. The home was built in 1959 and lost its character throughout the various remodels over the years. Our clients came to us trusting that with our help, they could love their home again. This design is full of clean lines, yet remains playful and organic.

The first steps in the kitchen were removing the soffit above the previous cabinets and reworking the cabinet layout. They didn’t have an island before and the hood was in the middle of the room. They gained so much storage in the same square footage of kitchen. We started by incorporating custom flat slab walnut cabinetry throughout the home. We lightened up the rooms with bright white countertops and gave the kitchen a 3-dimensional emerald green backsplash tile. In the hall bathroom, we chose a penny round floor tile, a terrazzo tile installed in a grid pattern from floor-to-ceiling behind the floating vanity. The hexagon mirror and asymmetrical pendant light are unforgettable.
