We were instantly drawn to this project by the existing flooring of Saltillo and natural light found throughout the home. In each space you can find sage tones and saltillo tile as a common denominator giving the project its name #SageandSaltillo. We designed this home with a fun take on desert tones with clean lines and took inspiration from the angular rock formations found in the desert.

In the kitchen, you can find the lower cabinets painted in a rich California sagebush and a custom terrazzo countertop and full-height backsplash. We integrated dimmable LEDs into the upper cabinets and floating shelves for a calming vibe. The guest bath features a custom alder wood door frame, travertine slabbed shower walls and a porcelain mosaic shower floor. The primary bath is covered in a green calacatta marble which plays off of the cactus shown in the atrium visible from the shower. We added more texture into the primary with a custom tadelakt wall plaster around the tub and shower walls. We love the incorporation of matte white plumbing fixtures, as it gives it a modern and graphic feel. We also brought in custom details to the laundry room, breakfast nook, entryway and dining.
