This project was all about maximizing the spatial plan and finishes. We chose to keep the design very simple, yet impactful. We reinvented their outdated kitchen and eat-in nook, creating a space that feels functional and calming.

We started by demoing the wall that was enclosing the kitchen and reconfiguring the doorways into the garage and laundry room to make the kitchen larger. We continued their wood plank tile from their master bedroom into this space for cohesion. We chose white washed rift white oak cabinetry as our main material and designed a custom slat door into the laundry room. One of the standout features is this 24″x24″ grey porcelain tile we chose for the backsplash to the ceiling. We chose white quartz countertops and a drywall hood to balance these focal features. The lighting adds a layer of sophistication – from the linear LED over the island to the classic nordic light over the nook table. Scroll down for the pre-renovation photos!
