We were hired to update this classic, ranch style mid-century modern home built in 1969. It had undergone previous remodels and additions, but the remodels were now dated and didn’t fit the original architectural intention of the home. Our goal for the project was to bring a new, modern design that focused on simplicity and functionality, that would bring the home back to its original intention.

We loved the existing materials such as the exposed slump block, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, skylights, fluted cabinet doors, mid-century glass block windows and the expansive views of the golf course and mountain range. We refinished some of the existing cabinetry with the fluted doors, as well as mixed in some new custom cabinetry to give the kitchen a whole new spirit. We transformed the everyday kitchen nook with a floating bench and Palm Springs, coffee shop feel and designed a family-friendly living room as well as a formal dining space.
